Darwin Project(2014-2022) was a collaboration between visual artist Hanneke Wetzer and musician Daniel van Loenen. Inspired by a quote from Darwin, the project evolved into an ongoing chain of music and art. For nine years, they presented a new work every month, eventually reaching a total of 99 works.
Daniel van Loenen (Amsterdam, 1982) is a musician and composer who prefers to create without rules or stylistic boundaries. His music is a direct translation of feeling into sound, guided by intuition rather than convention. His compositions are driven by a desire to create music that feels raw, honest, and real.
Hanneke Wetzer (Eindhoven, 1979) is a multidisciplined artist who focusses
on themes of privacy, identity, consumerism, mythology and futurology. Used media are photography,
graphics, illustration, sculpture, video, animation and performance.
