The Darwin Project was a collaboration between visual artist Hanneke Wetzer
and musician Daniel van Loenen. A chain of music and art emerged from a quote by Darwin. For 9 years they presented a new work every month. Up until 99 works!
Daniel van Loenen (Amsterdam, 1982) is a musician/composer who likes to
write without rules or styles. Just the direct translation from feeling into music. It’s all about
‘real’ music, on stage and in his compositions.
Hanneke Wetzer (Eindhoven, 1979) is a multidisciplined artist who focusses
on themes of privacy, identity, consumerism, mythology and futurology. Used media are photography,
graphics, illustration, sculpture, video, animation and performance.
